The First Six Years is a non-profit organization whose primary mandate is the promotion of optimal social, physical, and environmental conditions for the development of healthy productive children. Our organization does not engage in any commercial activity as defined in the Federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and as such, the First Six Years is not covered by PIPEDA. However, our organization values and respects the privacy of individuals and is committed to complying with the Federal Privacy Commissioners’ recommendations for non-profit organizations by providing all visitors to this website with an online privacy policy. The purpose of our website is to provide the public with readily available and reliable information on lead poisoning and an opportunity to help identify and prevent childhood lead exposure. Our website is passive and does not contain any online tracking technology such as cookies and pixel tags that would allow us to track usage habits, surfing habits, or technical data of its users (including IP addresses). The information provided on our website is available at no cost. We do not require visitors to our website to register or provide any personally identifiable information in order to view the content of our website. The purpose of our online searchable database containing all homes in Renfrew County constructed prior to 1950 is to provide the public with a means of accurately identifying the construction date of their home. We do not retain or track search queries or any information entered in the search box by its users. The information disclosed in the return dialogue box following a query is limited to non-personally identifiable information (home construction date). Please be aware that any personally identifiable information carried through e-mail is neither secure nor verifiable.
